Three member teams will compete to build a group score. The team with the highest combined score will share in the award of a Team Grand Champion Trophy and 3 Subway gift certificates donated by Subway of Tracy. There is no extra cost to participate in team competition.
RULES
Teams will be made up of three members and should include male and female members when possible. Team members must be of different ages and different ranks. It is recommended that there be two belt ranks between each member if possible. Head instructors may not be team members. Other Black Belts may be team members, but only one Black Belt per team. Each team member must compete in two events: forms competition and sparring. Each member will compete in their own division and will not be moved up unless attendance dictates otherwise.
ALL TEAMS MUST BE FORMED AND REGISTERED BEFORE COMPETITION BEGINS.
SCORING
Team points will be awarded to each team for each place earned in each event:
First Place – 4 points
Second Place – 3 points
Third Place – 2 points
Fourth Place – 1 point
The maximum team score could be 24 points (3 members x 6 first place awards).
TIE BREAKER
If there is a tie between 2 or more teams the following tie breaker rules apply (by judges discretion):
